In addition, excellent Bend area schools like High Desert Middle School and the new Silver Rail Elementary are a few minutes away. Who likes driving across town for every doctor’s appointment? The Bridges is 10 minutes from St. Charles hospital, Bend Memorial Clinic, and the surrounding medical complex.
Recreation: The amenities at The Bridges are something to behold even by Pahlisch standards. In the summertime, friends meet at the private pool. Hamburgers sizzle on the grill while neighbors lunch on the pool deck under a welcoming umbrella. Some take a moment to soak in the Cascade Mountain views through the pines, others head off to some hoops on the full-court indoor basketball court, a game of pickle ball with friends, pool, ping pong, or even a workout in the full gym overlooking the court.
Beyond the 2 miles of paved walking trails in the neighborhood, there's the Larkspur Trail nearby, or miles of trails along the tranquil canal that runs along the neighborhood. The Bend Senior Center is less than 2 miles away, offering many exercise classes and learning opportunities. There's a lovely park there too! And we are excited to announce that Bend’s investments in recreation continue to grow near The Bridges! The Senior Center is undergoing a transformation into the Larkspur Community Center, with upgrades and plans to offer more fun and education for all ages- expected to be completed in 2019. In addition, Bend Parks and Recreation has acquired 37 acres just across the street from The Bridges' main entrance and has plans to build a beautiful new park, the Southeast Bend Community Park, also expected to be completed in 2019. Of course we should also mention the several golf courses nearby, and easy access to Mt. Bachelor, 20-30 minutes away.
